Collect what the service needs. Keep the rest out.
Effective 7 October 2026. This notice explains how Blood Pledge currently uses information. It will be updated before materially different data use begins.
Information used by the app
Account and profile details can include your verified phone number, chosen name, blood group, general profile information, and an optional profile image. When you choose to be available or search nearby, the app uses your current or selected location to find relevant results. A blood request includes its destination, needed time, blood group, status, and the accounts involved.
Donor interest form
The interest form asks for a display name, phone number, blood group, city or broad area, and permission to appear in donor results and receive requests. Donor cards do not show phone numbers, exact coordinates, original form answers, or health details. Each response is reviewed before it can be shown.
Who can see what
People signed in to Blood Pledge may see limited donor cards. Private contact details and requests to contact someone can only be opened by the person responsible for reviewing them. A phone number is shown in the app only after a request becomes a confirmed match.
Location
Your current location is used when you ask Blood Pledge to search nearby. A donor’s shared location expires and must be refreshed. People who joined through the interest form share only their city or broad area, never an exact map point.
Analytics and errors
If you enable analytics in Settings, Blood Pledge records limited usage events and technical diagnostics. These events exclude names, phone numbers, email addresses, messages, exact location, and request or account identifiers. You can turn analytics off.
Public website and advertising
The public website may use basic traffic measurement and, after notice and consent controls are ready, clearly labelled advertising. Ads will not receive private app information or influence donor results. Any provider cookies or device identifiers will be described here before advertising is enabled.
Retention and choices
You can stop sharing donor availability, request account deletion, or ask to pause or remove details submitted through the interest form. Permission given through the form expires after 90 days unless renewed. Minimal records may be retained to make sure removed details are not accidentally published again.
Contact
For privacy questions or access and deletion requests, email privacy@bloodpledge.space. To pause or remove donor details, use the donor details page.
